6. Service Provider Selection and Due Diligence

6.1 Our Role in Vetting

While we work with partners who implement vetting procedures for Service Providers, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • We do not directly employ, supervise, or control any Service Providers
  • We do not independently verify the credentials, qualifications, insurance, or background of Service Providers
  • Any vetting is performed by our partners according to their own procedures and standards

6.2 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence before engaging any Service Provider. We strongly recommend that you take the following steps:

  • Obtain and carefully review multiple quotes before making a decision

  • Check whether the Service Provider is registered with relevant professional bodies or trade associations
  • Request and thoroughly check references from previous customers
  • Review independent customer reviews and ratings where available
  • Ensure you have a detailed written contract or agreement before any work begins, specifying the scope of work, materials, timeline, payment terms, and any guarantees
  • Understand the terms of any warranties or guarantees offered by the Service Provider
  • Never pay the full amount upfront—agree on a reasonable payment schedule with final payment upon satisfactory completion
  • Ensure that any required permits or approvals are obtained before work commences
  • Meet the Service Provider in person before work begins and maintain clear communication throughout the project

6.3 Disputes with Service Providers

Any disputes, claims, complaints, or issues arising from or relating to services performed by Service Providers are between you and the Service Provider directly. We are not responsible for mediating, arbitrating, or resolving any such disputes. We recommend that you attempt to resolve any issues directly with the Service Provider in the first instance. If you are unable to reach a resolution, you may wish to seek advice from relevant consumer protection organisations, trading standards, or legal professionals.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, question, or disagreement arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our Website or Services, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally before initiating any formal proceedings. We will make good faith efforts to resolve the issue through informal negotiation.

14.2 Time Limitation

If such modification is not possible, the provision shall be severed from these Terms. In either case, the remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect and shall not be affected, impaired, or invalidated in any way.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices or policies published by us on our Website, constitute the entire agreement between you and Home Care Service Group with respect to your access to and use of our Website and Services. These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations, discussions, representations, warranties, and communications, whether written or oral, between you and us relating to the subject matter hereof.

19. No Waiver

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. No waiver by us of any term or condition set out in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition, or a waiver of any other term or condition. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if it is in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Home Care Service Group.

20. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or delegate any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
